BOB TAYLOR

Client Manager and Project Manager

Bob is well known having worked throughout Kentucky for over thirty years. He has a vast amount of experience with rural water and wastewater systems throughout Kentucky. His experience has included water system expansion and improvement, wastewater collection system expansion and improvement, wastewater lift stations, water storage tanks, water pumping stations, water treatment facilities and wastewater treatment facilities. He also has public works management and operations experience which gives him an operations perspective related to design of water and wastewater facilities. Bob’s experience and knowledge will be an invaluable asset with planning and project development. Bob is responsible for all business development and marketing for Kentucky Engineering Group.

JIM THOMPSON, PE

Project Manager and Engineer

Jim’s responsibilities include all aspects of civil engineering. He is responsible for hydraulic analysis and system modeling, property owner information and identifying easement requirements related to rural water and wastewater distribution and collection system projects. His experience includes rural water and sewer design for Southern Water and Sewer District, Martin County Water District, Bath County Water District, City of Louisa, City of Hardinsburg, City of Frenchburg and the Mountain Water District. Jim is also involved in project cost estimating and budgeting. He uses AutoCAD and PIPE2000 for the design, layout and project production.

TROY HOGGE

Project Manager, Designer, Construction Administrator

Troy’s responsibilities include the design and layout of wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, treatment facilities, water distribution systems, pumping stations, storage tanks and site development. He is responsible for obtaining property owner information and identifying easement requirements relate to collection and distribution system projects. He is also responsible for all aspects of construction administration on utility projects.

RYAN CARR, PE

Project Manager and Engineer

Ryan has more than 16 years of experience in water, wastewater and site development engineering. He has project management responsibilities that include client contact, project development, coordination of resources, construction inspection, and contract administration. He is also responsible for the planning, design and layout of water treatment plants, raw water intake facilities, water distribution systems, pumping stations, water storage tanks, wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, and site development. Ryan is also responsible for hydraulic analysis, layout, permitting, specifications, plan production, cost estimating, and budgeting. He is responsible for completing contract documents, reviewing schedule and cost of ongoing projects, and technical overview of projects.

ETHAN FRYMAN

Project Manager, Designer, Construction Administrator

Ethan is a project manager, construction administrator, and design technician in both the water and wastewater disciplines for Kentucky Engineering Group. He is also responsible for the design and layout of water distribution systems, pumping stations, storage tanks, wastewater collection systems and pumping stations. As a Project Manager with Kentucky Engineering Group, Ethan has the proven ability to cultivate productive relationships with key decision makers and manage projects effectively to achieve objectives. He is responsible for delegating technical and administrative responsibilities to engineers, designers, and drafters on major complex and diverse projects. Ethan also is involved in business development and marketing for the firm.

HOLLY NICHOLAS

Funding and Project Administration Specialist

 

Holly Nicholas has 25+ years of experience in grant writing, loan application development, funding assistance, project development, planning, and program administration. She is responsible for project development, packaging, and coordination for all types of engineering projects. Holly is responsible for preparing and submitting funding application packages to various state and federal agencies including RD, CDBG, KIA, EDA, ARC, and various state budget appropriations. Once grants and/or loans are received Holly provides the administration of these grants and/or loans including maintaining project budgets, preparing agency request for payments, and completing progress reports for clients and agencies. Holly has worked with over forty government entities (water/sewer districts, municipalities, fiscal courts, and non-profits) during her career, which gives her valuable insight into how best to complete a project for a particular client.

MATT BAKER, PE

Project Manager and Engineer

 

Matt has more than twenty-two years of experience in water and wastewater engineering. He has project management responsibilities that include project development, coordination of resources, construction inspection, and contract administration. He is also responsible for the design and layout of water distribution systems, booster stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities; wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. Matt is also responsible for hydraulic analysis, layout, permitting, specifications, plan production, cost estimating, and budgeting. Matt is responsible for completing contract documents, reviewing schedule and cost of ongoing projects, and technical overview of projects. In addition, Matt maintains client contact during study, design, and construction, and is responsible for maintaining client contact following project completion.

Matt also is involved in business development and marketing for the firm.

Matt Baker

MARK STEPHENS, PE

Project Manager and Engineer

Mark has more than 20 years of experience in water, wastewater and site development engineering. His emphasis has been in construction management, contract administration and construction related activities. He has project management responsibilities that include project development, coordination of resources, construction inspection, and contract administration. He is also responsible for the design and layout of water distribution systems, pumping stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities; wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities; and site development. Mark also has experience with all essential disciplines of construction such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil/site and water and wastewater process, layout, permitting, specifications, plan production, cost estimating, and budgeting. In addition, he is experienced in constructability and value engineering. He is responsible for the development of contract documents, reviewing schedules and the cost of ongoing projects, and technical overview of projects. In addition, Mark maintains client contact during the planning, design, and construction, and is responsible for maintaining client contact following project completion. Mark is also involved in the business development and marketing for our firm.

JIM MILLER

Engineering Technician

Jim is a Construction Inspector/ Engineering Technician with Kentucky Engineering Group with many years of concrete and construction experience. Jim is primarily involved in the construction phase of our projects but is involved in all aspects of our business from working with project managers to gather initial information related to a project, surveying, gps, design, preparation of plans and specifications and construction inspection and contract administration. Jim is actively involved in utility projects both water and wastewater and is available to assist all project managers with their individual project needs. Jim has specialized experience in concrete mixtures and construction.

EVAN CHANCE

Engineering Technician

Evan is an engineering technician with Kentucky Engineering Group. He is a 2012 graduate of Morehead State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Evan is involved in all aspects of our business from assisting project managers to gather initial information related to a project, surveying, gps, design, preparation of plans and specifications, construction inspection and contract administration. Evan is actively involved in utility projects both water and wastewater and is available to all project managers with their individual project needs. Evan is primarily responsible for completing any and all tasks assigned by the project managers including construction inspection and contract administration duties.

COLTON MASTERSON

Engineering Technician

Colton is an engineering technician with Kentucky Engineering Group with 1 year of experience. He is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and the University of the Cumberlands and has started his career in civil engineering. Colton is involved in all aspects of our business from working with project managers to gather initial information related to a project, surveying, gps, design, preparation of plans and specifications and construction inspection and contract administration. Colton is actively involved in utility projects both water and wastewater and is available to assist all project managers with their individual project needs.

Colton Masterson

JEFF BOND

Production Manager/Senior Designer

Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering. His role at Kentucky Engineering includes Production Manager and Senior Designer, and is responsible for the coordination and production of documents and the design of water and wastewater facilities. His experience includes the design of sanitary sewer infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, wet weather storage basins, pump stations, gravity trunk sewers, gravity collector sewers and force mains. Water system projects including water treatment plants, water transmission mains, pumping stations and water storage tanks.

Construction Inspector/Engineering Technician

Landon is a Construction Inspector/Engineering Technician with Kentucky Engineering Group. He is a 2014 graduate of Morehead State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Landon’s primary role is construction inspection but is also involved in all aspects of our business from assisting project managers to gather initial information related to a project, surveying, gps, design, drafting, preparation of plans and specifications, construction inspection and contract administration. Landon is actively involved in utility projects both water and wastewater and is available to all project managers with their individual project needs.
